Program Note:
Charcoal is the last movement of the stage work called Black and White, originally commissioned by Peter Martins for New York City Ballet's American Music Festival in 1988. Charcoal was excerpted as a stand-alone orchestra piece for Argo's Dance Mix album, and now appears on Ecstatic Records on album "three."
